Jim Peterik Talks 'Eye of The Tiger,' 55 Years of The Ides of March & His New Song 'Empty Arena'

GRAMMY award winning singer and songwriter Jim Peterik has sold over 30 million records with the Ides of March, 38 Special and Survivor! He checked in to the big show to share stories and tell us about a new song he just created that was inspired by recent world events.

Jim told us the great story of Sylvester Stallone calling you to write a song for Rocky 3, and he thought it was a prank! He also told us about his journey with the Ides of March, and how he found himself out on the road with bands like Led Zeppelin as a high school kid!

Jim has released a new song for these challenging times called “Empty Arena.” It’s available for purchase and/or stream at iTunes, Amazon & Spotify. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the MusiCares Foundation.

Jim received a Grammy for the triple platinum “Eye Of The Tiger”. He also wrote “The Search is Over” and “Burning Heart” among many others for Survivor.

Jim has written 18 TOP 10 hits, including: “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You,” “Rocking Into The Night,” “Fantasy Girl.” Peterik penned songs have sold 30 MILLION copies worldwide.

Jim formed his first band, The Ides Of March, while in high school. The group’s single “Vehicle” hit #2 on the Billboard chart.
