Billy Gardell Talks 'Young Sheldon,' 'Sun Records' & His Love For Pittsburgh 6/1/18

Friday, June 1st

Billy Gardell impresses us every time we speak to him! He used to call in before every “Mike & Molly” season premiere, and it would be around the time his Pittsburgh Steelers were in the playoffs, so we would get a little NFL talk in! Now Billy just told us he has been upped to a recurring role for season 2 of “Young Sheldon” which of course debuted with a bang this past TV season on CBS. Billy also starred in the CMT mini-series “Sun Records” as Colonel Tom Parker, the infamous manager of Elvis Presley - the drama was inspired by the Broadway musical “Million Dollar Quartet.” And when someone starts talking Elvis, I just can’t stop! We covered a lot of ground this time around, everything from Chuck Lorre to the Elvis days to Sid Bream! Billy is a funny guy who’s down to earth comedy really hits home. He’s playing Gotham Comedy Club June 1st-3rd. Get tickets at www.gothamcomedyclub.com
