Beth Stern On Kitten Bowl 6, The Inaugural Cat Bowl & Her Fostering Passion

Thursday, January 31st

Beth Ostrosky Stern, wife of Howard and foster mom to countless little kitties, dropped by the WCBS-FM studios today to give all the details on Hallmark Channel's Cat Bowl and Kitten Bowl 2019 -- and make Louie Louie sneeze -- A LOT!

North Shore Animal League America is hosting a Kitten Bowl Party to showcase Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl VI game and celebrate the network’s inaugural Cat Bowl competition. NSALA, along with 500 shelter partners across the country, are hosting Kitten Bowl parties in addition to screening Kitten Bowl VI highlights on Sunday, February 3rd from 12-4 p.m. at North Shore Animal League America's Little Learners Center, Lewyt Avenue in Port Washington, NY. There will be plenty of fun-filled activities, giveaways (including Kitten Bowl VI trading cards,) refreshments, and more!

The biggest highlight will be finding loving homes for adoptable shelter pets. On Sunday, February 3rd, all feline adoption fees will be reduced by 50% for approved adopters at North Shore Animal League America.

Kitten Bowl is the greatest feline football showdown in cable television history and has resulted in more than 25,000 shelter pet adoptions since its premiere in 2014. The competition will be hosted by North Shore Animal League America’s Foster Mom, National Spokesperson, and Board of Directors member Beth Stern, and feature play-by-play coverage by actor Dean Cain and former NFL player Rodney Peete.  Four-time Pro Bowl quarterback and Feline Football League (FFL) Commissioner Boomer Esiason and former NFL running back Rashad Jennings will be on hand to offer commentary on every adorable moment of fur-flying kitten play-off action.  The broadcast will also feature off-field antics featuring our North Shore Animal League America puppy friends.

The first ever Cat Bowl, featuring senior and special needs felines, will premiere on Saturday, February 2, 2019 (10:00 pm ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel.  Kitten Bowl VI will premiere Su-PURR Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2019 (2:00 pm ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel.

All of the players who played in the actual Kitten Bowl competition have since found loving homes through Hallmark Channel’s partnership with North Shore Animal League America – the world’s largest no-kill, rescue, and animal adoption organization. However, there are plenty of fabulous felines (canines, too!) at your local shelter waiting to find their forever homes.
