We are eagerly awaiting the next 'Top Gun' movie, Top Gun: Maverick, and we were shocked to find out that Kenny is not yet confirmed to be part of the soundtrack! He is currently waiting to hear back if he will be remaking “Danger Zone” for the movie’s soundtrack.

Kenny’s been part of so many successful movie soundtracks (FootlooseTop GunCaddyshack) and he revealed to us that he almost scored another hit on the Flashdance soundtrack! He told us he was scheduled to record a track for the film, but he fell off a stage during a concert in Utah and broke three ribs, preventing him from being part of yet another huge movie!

‘Kenny Loggins & Friends: Live on Soundstage’ is out now! Loggins is joined by Jim Messina, Michael McDonald, David Foster & many others! It’s a 2CD/1DVD deluxe combo package with previously unreleased tracks that will air on PBS’ ‘Soundstage’ in 2019.

Originally a part of Loggins and Messina, Kenny & Jim sold over 16 million records and were the second most successful duo of the ‘70s, after Hall & Oates.

Kenny co-wrote “What a Fool Believes” with Michael McDonald and they won the Song of the Year GRAMMY in 1980. His 1994 album Return to Pooh Corner remains one of the best-selling children’s albums of the past 25 years.
