NEW YORK – You made it through the workweek, but had no time to make plans. The weather has cooled down but your plans don't have to. Now's your chance to relax with the best food, drinks, shows, and music the area has to offer. Skip surfing the internet because WCBS-FM has your weekend plans here:

NY Coffee Festival

Coffee aficionados get your fix at this year's New York Coffee Festival. With over 100 local and national exhibitors, head over to the Metropolitan Pavilion for latte art demos and workshops, a brew bar featuring experimental flavor profiles and techniques, a cold brew cocktail bar, a chocolate factory with tastings and classes. There will also be a Roast Masters tournament and a coffee art contest. Proceeds go to Project Waterfall, which brings clean water to coffee-growing communities across the globe.

When: Oct. 11- 13 ( Friday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Sunday:  9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

NYC Cupcake Run

For the seventh years, participants of the NYC Cupcake Run, can run a 5k while stopping to eat three cupcakes at checkpoints throughout the course. The race is open to people of all ages and ou can enjoy a free drink and food at a local bar after the race. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to New York Cares, so bring your appetite and your running shoe to Astoria Park on Saturday!

Boo at the Zoo

The Bronx Zoo's annual Halloween tradition is back with more spooky fun that's ideal for all ages. Show off your costume at the parade, then mix and mingle with owls, vultures and ravens. Listen to the sea lions barking in the background as you enjoy the live acoustic bands, seasonal fare, beer and lawn games.

When: Oct. 10-14, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Craig Ferguson at Wellmont Theatre

Ready to laugh? Former late-night host Craig Ferguson is appearing at the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair this Saturday.

Where: Newark Arts Festival Headquarters, 1180 Raymond Boulevard, Newark

When: Oct. 12, 8 p.m.

Cost: Tickets start at $50

27th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival 

The HIFF was founded to celebrate independent film and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to audiences. The film festival continues to play an important role during awards season, with a significant number of titles highlighted every year at the Academy Awards. Attendees can screen films such as The Irishman, Ford v Ferrari and The Two Popes. With with Alec Baldwin and Randy Mastro as the Co-Chairmen of the festival, this is definitely the cinematic event of the season.

The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

Take a trip out of the city to The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze. Where 18-century landscape meets more than 7,000 pumpkins carved, stacked, arranged, and lit to create a unique fantasy land that comes alive with a dazzling synchronized light show set to an original score. More than 1,000 volunteers help scoop, carve, and light the pumpkins and every single jack o’lantern is hand-carved on site by a team of professional artists. All proceeds from Blaze support the programs of Historic Hudson Valley, a non-profit education organization.

OktoberFest at Watermark

No need to travel to Munich when you can experience Oktoberfest in New York! Authentic German beer will be flowing, complimented by traditional Oktoberfest food and fun for the entire family. Pumpkin Patch at Queens County Farm Museum

October is pumpkin month at the Queens County Farm Museum, a historic working farm in Queens, NYC dating back to 1697. There's no better or closer place to find your perfect pumpkin while soaking in some New York history. You can also say hello to the goats and alpacas or explore the amazing maize maze!
