Blinded By The Light is a brand new movie honoring “The Boss”, Bruce Springsteen and his legendary songs, with the title of the flick literally based off of a single that was on his debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ’

Blinded By The Light’  is inspired and based on a memoir by British journalist/broadcaster Sarfraz Manzoor. The movie itself was directed by Gurinder Chadha, who also directed 2003's, Bend It Like BeckhamTake a look at the trailer below:

Blinded By The Light tells the story of Javed (Viveik Kalra), a Pakistani British teen who is growing up in Luton, England circa 1987. Around that time period, there was a lot of racial and economic turmoil in the U.K., and along with that dynamic, Javed is also struggling with internal battles as he has to deal with a traditional Pakistani dad who does not approve of Javed wanting to pursue writing.

A classmate introduces Javed to the music of Bruce Springsteen and Javed finds new life through "The Boss" himself. Through Springsteen, Javed finds ways to express himself in unique ways and is inspired to stay true to himself and continue writing.

Blinded By The Light was released at the Sundance Festival earlier this year on January 27. If you want to feel inspired, the movie will be released in the U.K. this Friday, August 9 while the U.S. release is set for Friday, August 16.
