Remembering The Life of Jayne Meadows [PHOTOS]

April 28, 2015 6:16 PM

Jayne Meadows, a breathtaking redhead who starred on Broadway, in film, and on TV, passed away on Sunday at her home in Encino, California on April 26th. She was 95 years old. Her son, Bill Allen, confirmed the news on Monday.

Meadows might be best known as the wife, business partner, and co-star to Steve Allen. The two were married for 46 years. During her career, Meadows was nominated for three Emmy Awards. While popular in her own right, she didn’t achieve the fame of her sister, Audrey Meadows, who starred opposite Jackie Gleason as housewife Alice Kramden on the 1950s comedy The Honeymooners.
