Hey Guys, Joe Causi back at you again with another week in history. This week, we’re filled with some highs and some lows — from the breakup of The Beatles to the biggest father and daughter duet of all time!
Here we go back to 1967, when Nancy and Frank Sinatra would take the number 1 spot on the UK singles chart with ‘Somethin’ Stupid’, (making them the only father and daughter to have a US No.1 single as a team).
Remember 1970? Of course, you do! It was the year 27-year-old Paul McCartney would issue a press statement, announcing that The Beatles had split, (one week before the release of his solo album). The pretty Beatle would say, “I have no future plans to record or appear with The Beatles again, or to write any music with John.”
Can anybody say “WOW!”?
It was this week in 1982, “The Piano Man” Billy Joel was reported to be in ”very good” condition after major surgery at Columbia Presbyterian here in the city. The singer broke his left wrist when his 1978 Harley Davidson hit a car

Bo zee bo zee bop!
It happened this week in 2010, The Vatican’s official newspaper L’Osservatore Romano published a story praising The Beatles and saying that it forgave John Lennon for his 1966 comment that the group was “bigger than Jesus.”
Lennon told a British newspaper in 1966 – at the height of Beatlemania – that he did not know which would die out first, Christianity or rock and roll.
