Rare Instrumental Performance by Heart Will Get Your Blood Pumping

Late 1980s Heart — resurrecting from a decline in popularity with power ballads like “Alone” and “These Dreams” — can sometimes make you forget about late 1970s “Barracuda” Heart, who could totally shred.

The band posted a ~rare~ instrumental clip from a performance at the KWSU TV studio at Washington State University in 1976. In the clip, Ann Wilson puts her lungs to use on flute instead of vocals and would make Ian Anderson wet his lip plate. Nancy Wilson and Roger Fisher take turns shredding while Howard Leese provides that synth goodness.
