With the holidays just around the corner, and John Oates in obvious Christmas spirit, we thought this was a great time to ask him what his personal favorite holiday songs were and to tell us a little bit about why he chose the tracks he did.

So without further ado, here are John’s 10 Favorite Holiday Songs along with his personal thoughts on what the tracks mean to him during this special time of year!

1. Bing Crosby – “White Christmas”

“One of the most heartwarming Christmas tracks out there, a nostalgic and melancholy tune I can’t help but replay during the holiday season.”

2. Frank Sinatra – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”

“An absolute classic, Frank Sinatra’s ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ always gets me in the holiday spirit”

3. Johnny Mathis – “Winter Wonderland”

“Johnny Mathis’ smooth voice combined with the timeless track ‘Winter Wonderland’ completes the holiday season.”

4. Jerry Douglas – “All Through the Night”

“A refreshing take on Christmas music, ‘All Through the Night’ is the perfect song for any holiday gathering.”

5. Sam Bush – “Sleigh Ride”
