Fans have some strong opinions about this year's roster.

Yesterday, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced nominees for its 2017 honors, and fans took to Twitter to celebrate the occasion. Fan input matters: For the fifth year in a row, a public vote factors into the induction criteria. If Twitter is any indication, Pearl Jam, Janet Jackson and Tupac could enjoy a major bump from their devoted fans, who couldn’t wait to cheer them on.

Some were dismayed by the lack of metal on the list, others were elated that their favorite band finally got some well deserved recognition. In any case, the Hall of Fame is another 2016 election that warrants your thoughtfully considered vote.
