Billy Joel is taking a break from his monthly residency at Madison Square Garden to take care of his health.

“Due to endoscopic sinus surgery, Billy Joel will reschedule his upcoming September 30th concert at Madison Square Garden to November 21, 2016,” a spokesperson for Joel said in a statement. “The procedure will require him to rest his voice and avoid any strenuous activity. With several weeks of rest, Billy is expected to make a full recovery.”

Joel’s residency began in January 2014 and since then he has broken several MSG concert-related records: “Longest Run of Any Artist” and “Most Number of Performances.” His residency has been a monumental success, leading to 36 sold out shows heading into December 2016.

All tickets purchased for the September 30th show will be honored for the November 21st performance and his residency will continue on October 28th following his recovery.
