It looks like some things will never, ever, change.

Madonna has upset some folks on social media over her use of images of herself promoting LGBT and gender rights in the wake of the Orlando nightclub shooting which took 49 lives and injured countless others. The posts, some with captions of her own touching quotes from the past, have come under fire with some saying in the comments that she’s using the tragedy to self-promote.

Personally, I’m not so sure of that.

Madonna has always been at the forefront of LGBT rights and in this instance, what do people really expect from her? She just seems to be trying to spread a message of love and equality — and she’s getting flak (let’s say HATE) for it.

Madonna: Still making people mad after (almost) 35 years.

You can view her posts below and decide for yourself. The first one is the latest. Obviously she’s taken notice of the comments and posted a photo that has been going around of the 49 victims of the tragedy along with another message of love.

Stop Hate. Stop Violence. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️#revolutionoflove
