Nile Rodgers has been a frequent guest to CBS-FM in recent years; so much so, we might have to consider giving him an access card so he could get into the building. Rodgers’ latest visit was prompted by promotion for FOLD Festival, a music festival created and curated by Rodgers himself with a particular reasoning behind it.

“I tried to create an anti-festival because the thing about festivals that are absolutely certain is that you usually go to festivals with a group of people. They are intimidating by their nature,” says Rodgers.

“I wanted to create a festival that felt like you were just going to the movies, or just going to a club or a restaurant; you can just walk in by yourself and I guarantee you, you are going to meet people that you know or you’re going to meet someone that is cool.”

FOLD Festival takes place on August 12, 13, 14 in Riverhead, New York.

Nile’s Fold Festival will take place Saturday, October 8th at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY.
