With their 1968 song “Helter Skelter,” The Beatles were far ahead of their time — yet again — carving a template for future hard rock and heavy metal bands to follow. Last night (April 17), another rock trailblazer, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, joined Beatles member Paul McCartney onstage in Seattle to perform the song.

The former Beatle previously performed the track in 2013 with Novoselic, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear. McCartney’s One on One Tour hits Vancouver tomorrow night. Watch footage from the Seattle performance here:
