If asked what the most played song in the world is, one might quickly jump to YouTube to find Psy‘s “Gangnam Style” as the clear cut winner with 2,489,962,546 views as of January 3, 2016. That’s 1.1 BILLION more views than runner up Taylor Swift and her music video for “Blank Space.”

But that’s not what this video from This Exists is talking about. When it comes to radio (and in some instances, television), there is a surprising winner.

The worldwide record for the most-played song in the world is “It’s a Small World,” having been played over 50 million times. Yes, this nightmare of a song that will plague your nightmares when the children of the corn return for you.

The race for #1 in the U.S. is a tight one: The Beatles‘ “Yesterday” — with over 7 million plays at 380 spins per day on average since it’s release in 1965 — is just edged out by The Righteous Brothers and their song “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin'” with 8 million plays on radio and television.

If you’re looking for a home court advantage, look no further than Australia. Natalie Imbruglia is the queen Down Under with her well-known hit “Torn”; for more than a decade the song has been played 75 times per day, over 300,000 times on Aussie radio up to 2011.

Why? Because Natalie Imbruglia is a national treasure.
