James Taylor Has a New Song About the Red Sox: Hear ‘Angels of Fenway’

James Taylor is a lifelong Red Sox fan, and on Sunday night he honored his team by performing a new song at Fenway Park called “Angels off Fenway.”

The song traces the storied history of the Red Sox all the way from the sale of Babe Ruth’s contract to the team’s triumphant victory in the 2004 World Series.

“Angels of Fenway, hear our prayer,” he sings on the chorus. “We have been chastened. We have been patient.”

The video features clips of Taylor playing the song interspersed with highlights from the Red Sox storied history.
