Though their debut, Crosby, Stills and Nash, was a Top 10 album and sold over 4 million copies, it was the arrival of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Neil Young[/lastfm] that propelled the group into the stratosphere.

Seven million miles into the stratosphere, the same as the number of albums the quartet moved when they recorded Deja Vu.

Brilliant by any measure, there’s gentle acoustic rock (“Teach Your Children”), bouncing country rock (“Carry On”), pensive and thoughtful rock (“Helpless”) and counter-culture rock (“Almost Cut My Hair”).

In just 10 songs and 38 minutes, CSN&Y summarized the entire hippie generation and, ironically enough, became millionaires in doing so.
