When you stare longingly at the wonder that is the Empire State Building tonight, you’ll notice it will be boasting the colors blue, white, and orange proudly. That’s because everyone’s favorite borough (so I’ve been told) is celebrating its 350th birthday today.

And because it is your birthday, we’ll forget about that $13 toll at the Verrazano Bridge. But just for today.

Staten Island will be celebrating this momentous event with a public craft and music festival on the St. George Plaza of the Staten Island Ferry from 5pm to 8pm today. There will be special musical performances by SI natives the Great Martin Rivas and the duo of Joey Kelly and Dee Meyer.

If that’s not enough celebratin’ for ya, we’re sure Joe Causi will invite you over for a dip in his pool.

Listen to Sue O’Neal talk about SI’s big day!
