Move over Donald Trump. Watch out Barack Obama. The Motor City Madman is on the run…

The 62-year-old rocker from Michigan is set to lend his voice to the longest running show on television, The Simpsons. With the 22nd season wrapped up and the finale due to air on May 22nd, his appearance will appropriately be during next season when news on the election becomes daily coverage for media outlets.

The episode, titled “Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson,” will have [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ted Nugent[/lastfm] seeking Homer‘s endorsement as a Republican candidate for President of the United States. At the same time, Homer has become a populist TV pundit with his own show, “Gut Check with Homer Simpson.”

The Nuge is noted for his conservative political views and his passionate defense of hunting, conservation, and gun ownership rights, so a nod on the Republican card suits him well.

Will voting for Uncle Ted be as difficult as it was for Homer to vote for Barack Obama in 2008?
