Because of budget cuts, New York City Animal Care and Control needs money to buy pet food. It also is accepting donated blankets, towels, rubber toys and kitty litter.

The not-for-profit organization runs shelters under a contract with the city Health Department. They have to cut $300,000 from its budget by June and another $400,000 in the next fiscal year.

I will get alot of my baby’s old flannel blankets and will donate a little money. These little guys need us to look out for them.
